We are registered with the Government of Catalunya (HUTB-003993) as a “habitatge d’ús turístic”.
We have a “Modernista” (art nouveau) apartment with 3 bedrooms and a private garden right in the heart of the upmarket Eixample district in the city centre and only 5 minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and Gaudi´s architectural masterpieces in Passeig de Gràcia. The apartment is available for short to medium term lets and sleeps up to six (2 doubles, 1 bedroom with 2 singles). The site also features a guide to Barcelona (taken from our Guest Book) and to other flats available in the city.

The Barcelona Garden Flat has been renovated, and we retained all of the original Modernista (art nouveau) features- it has high ceilings, mosaic and painted tiles throughout, a new kitchen, bathroom and shower-room. This ground floor apartment is ideal for families or business guests (with free high speed internet access). We aim to run the flat as a “home away from home” ( we try and get the little things as well as the big things right). We love staying here ourselves, which means that the flat is regularly maintained and well kitted out.

Holiday Flat: The Garden Flat is on Carrer Balmes (between Carrer Provença and Carrer Mallorca) which is a 5 minute walk from all of the shops and restaurants on Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig Gràcia in L’Eixample Esquerra (Eixample Left). It is 2 “manzanas” or “illas” (blocks) from Casa Milà (La Pedrera)- Gaudi´s masterpiece on Passeig de Gràcia.

The Eixample district is known for its wide and leafy streets that were laid down in the late-19th century and the neighbourhood is now a lively up-market area- perfect for a vacation, with plenty to explore on foot, such as the world famous Modernista (Art Nouveau) buildings on Paseo de Gracia or the al fresco restaurants and boutique shops of Rambla Catalunya. If you enjoy your food, you will be spoilt for choice in Eixample- there are plenty of tapas bars and restaurants within a short walking distance that cater for most tastes and budgets. The apartment is spacious at 120 square metres and sleeps up to 6 with 2 double bedrooms and another bedroom with 2 singles. There´s a sitting room at the front, a bathroom with wc, a separate shower-room with wc, a dining room, a kitchen and, unusually for such a central location, a “galería” at the rear which overlooks a peaceful private garden.
The apartment was renovated in 2009 to a high standard: it has a new bathroom, shower room and kitchen and we’ve kept as many of the original Modernista (or Art Nouveau) features as possible or sourced original replacements from all over Catalonia. The little garden at the back is real treat in the centre of Barcelona. There are some great food shops a short walk away from the flat including a fishmongers, greengrocers, an Argentinian butchers and 2 good supermarkets. Perfect for a short holiday or city break.
The apartment is fully equipped with central heating, Daikin air conditioning, flat screen TV, DVD and high speed wireless Internet access (Telefonica WIFI). The kitchen has everything you´ll need including an oven, hob and fridge, of course, as well as a Bosch washing machine with integral dryer (washer/dryer), dish-washer and microwave. We supply clean sheets and towels for our guests. Prices start from €170 per day- the minimum stay is 3 days.
The apartment is easily accessed from street level (no stairs or lift) making it easy for families with kids. You´ll be close to both Barcelona´s main shopping district, many of the city´s top restaurants and the Central Business District on Diagonal.
We have a family, so the Garden Flat is child friendly: we can supply a travel cot if you need one (just ask) & there’s a box of toys and plenty of DVD’s to keep the little ones entertained. We have all the gear that you’ll need to feed the family. A baby sitting service is available on request which may come in handy as there are some great restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the flat.
