We all had a wonderful time in Barcelona. The mixture of classic elegance and modern bathrooms and kitchen were the perfect combination.
How did your flat escape the so called “improvement” of replacement windows and new floors? I would hope to visit the flat sometime in the future if it si still available. The space in the flat is amazing. It was an oasis of calm in the middle of the city.
One very small issue, we were 5 women/girls with long hair and we had one bath towel each.
(thankyou for your comments. 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel now provided.)

As has been said, this is the most comfortable apartment. We loved staying here. It´s midsummer and seriously hot, but the apartment has always been a cool peaceful oasis in the city.
Travelling with children brings different delights than when you travel as just adults. Many of the things we have enjoyed are as already described, but our highlights are:
-ordering tapas that arrives continuously in the middle of the table.
-the roof of Casa Mila
-Drawing pictures and playing cards in Park Guell
-Joan Miro´s giant tapestry
-CosmoCaixa & the blue tram (up to Tibadabo) (this is insanely undersold- it is the best science museum we have been to …ever).
Metro- you probably want to start with the station on Passeig de Gracia. We bought a T-70 ticket, valid for 70 journeys. This lasted a week for 5 of us. you can make multiple journeys as long as they are inside 90 mins. the tickets are valid on most of the lines (all the ones that we tried).
We didn´t like
Poble Español- it makes Disney look genuine and was dull We paid to get in!!
Placa d´Espanya- the water was green and the fountains were off!
We loved Barcelona. Jacob (6) is now a fully fledged Barça supporter. We look forward to being back here. one day soon…..

PS- a late correction! Plaça d´Espanya and the magic fountain come on at 9pm. We went their last night and loved them!

What a marvelous location to spend an “0″ birthday!.
The apartment was perfect for our family needs (though the ladies did suggest more bedroom mirrors), loads of space & style – great for birthday breakfast with baloons and bucks fizz!! “Tragaluz” restaurant made a perfect sophisticated location for the evening.
We binged on gaudi one day- all amazing, walked around all day and too late most nights- lots of window shopping. Barcelona is a lovely city with so much to offer, we´ve just scraped th surface and will have to return. We took the train down to Sitges on the Monday for a day of beach relaxation which made a welcome break from city pavements- lots of swimming and sunning.
Thanks very much- a lovely apartment & comfy beds & pillows!

Just wanted to drop you a quick e-mail to say we had an absolutely fantastic time in Barcelona and your flat was amazing. We met Lynda (who was great) who showed us round the flat which was just so spacious and gorgeous.
We absolutely fell in love with the tiled floors and wooden shutters and it had everything and more that we needed. The kids DVD’s and toys were brilliant and the cool, dark bedrooms meant that they slept really well and we all got plenty of lie-ins,bliss! (toy shop was a big hit as well, I wish we had those in England, some great products!)

The apartment exceeded expectations, nicer than the excellent website!
Superb location, used 10x Metro/bus tickets- great value. Personal highlight was cycle tour from barcelonabybike.com & Audres the excellent guide. A wonderful way to see lots of interesting & hidden Barcelona whilst getting rosy cheeks.
Enjoyed all the Modernista sites, all the Gaudi including the Sagrada Familia despite the unnecessary queues.
Shopping, eating and getting around is a doddle when you are in good hands, I was on a birthday treat as a jubilado & enjoyed every minute.
Linda was efficient & helpful, baby care was well provided in the apartment, Samsung OK one tuned by me (f.o.c.) [sorry about that! Spain just changed over to Digital and we didn't have time to reset the telly, but thankyou for tuning it for us! Gideon & Rachel] & Bob The Builder must be worn out by now.
For years I have mused about what life must be like behind those elegant facades on Barcelona’s carrers & avenidas – now I know!
We all want to return soon one day, it has been excellent to celebrate here as a family. D.W., D.R. & P.
