Taller de Tapas Rambla de Catalunya Review

This is an old favourite of ours when we stay at the flat. There are a few Taller de Tapas restaurants in Barcelona (there´s one in The Born), but the closest to the flat- around 5 to 10 mins walk away, is the Taller de Tapas on Rambla de Catalunya.

Just head left out of the flat down Calle Balmes, and then left onto Calle Mallorca. Then turn right onto Rambla de Catalunya and just keep heading down for 2 and a half blocks or so, and it will be on your right. It´s just the other side of Calle Aragon which is the busiest street you´ll cross.

For visitors to Barcelona, ordering tapas can sometimes feel like a daunting affair. Taller de Tapas (the Tapas Garage) makes it easy with menus in different languages and staff that seem to cover quite a few different lingos including English.

Make sure you check out the Specials Board, and there will be a nice selection of red and white wines chalked up on the boards overhead which you can order by the glass or bottle.

Try the Costa Brava anchovies or the Palamós prawns, and they do a nice line in salads and of course the ever present mouth watering Iberico ham. Our other favorites include the tortillas, roast lamb, fried artichokes and grilled asparagus. All scrumptious.

Get there early for lunch though- by that we mean by 1.30 pm.
